ACCOUNTANT

REPORTING DIRECTLY TO THE CEO / BUT ON DOTED LINES TO THE TREASURER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing and filling of tax returns
  • Preparation of annual budget in liaisons with the treasurer
  • Posting of vouchers for advances, salary and other deductions.
  • Accounting for recoveries in respect of advances.
  • Issuing cheques for statutory and other deductions.
  • Proper accounting of unpaid salaries and communication of the necessary information to personnel section for follow-up action.
  • Monthly reconciliation of salary, clearances and other suspense accounts.
  • Preparation of cash flows forecasts.
  • Preparation of trial balances.
  • Preparation of relevant financial statements and management reports
  • Receiving cash and cheques from customers.
  • Paying suppliers.
  • Availing information to customers when necessary.
  • Reconciling payments and receipts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Appointment to the position will be made from persons who have:

  • Bachelor of Commerce degree or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • CPA Section II or its equivalent.
  • Satisfactorily served in the similar position for a minimum period of two (2) years.
  • A registered member of the club
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • High degree of integrity and dependability.
  • OFFICE ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONISTS

    REPORTING DIRECTLY TO THE CEO/BUT ON DOTED LINES TO THE SEC GEN

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Welcoming visitors and assisting them.
    • Performing general office tasks of clerical nature.
    • Handling telephone calls.
    • Handling mail and writing simple routine correspondence on own initiative.
    • Taking charge of documents and files including classified material.
    • Implementation of administration policies and procedures.
    • Resolving issues relating to the general office administration
    • Keeping and maintaining accurate records management system is in place.
    • Availing necessary administrative requirements to the office.
    • Handling all official travel arrangements, both for local and overseas travel.
    • Timely procurement of requisite licenses for the organization vehicles and drivers.
    • Coordination and sale of merchandise at the secretariat.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Diploma in any business related subject from a recognized Institution
    • KCSE mean Grade C or its equivalent.
    • Must be a current registered club member.
    • Certificate in sales
    • Certificate in front office and public relations
    • Satisfactorily served as an office assistant / Receptionist or a comparable position with similar responsibilities in like organizations for a minimum period of three (3) years.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent computer skills.
    • Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail
    • High level of personal organization.
    • Post graduate qualification in public relations or media will be an added advantage.
