Ingwe in a Must Win Midweek Tie

Wednesday's floodlight encounter with basement club Mahakama FC will be a defining moment for AFC Leopards to shake off the relegation threat that has bedevilled it for several weeks despite an averegely good start. Precariously hanging at position 13 on the standing out of 16 teams with 10 points after 9 matches, Kenya's most decorated club must win the mid week match to revive hopes of finishing the first leg in a respectable position. But to do that, coach Chris Makokha needs to get his act together by settling on a winning lineup unlike his past experiments he has made costing the club vital points. In the last match against City Stars, Makokha had to be boored by unsatisfied Ingwe fans for fielding dependable Imbalabala in unfamiliar striking teritory rendering the prolific skipper ineffective. Makokha will also need to inspire his striking force of Imbem and Selenga who have been misfiring throughout  the season having scored the least number of goals in the KPL at 5 in nine matches.(posted on 27/4/10 at 10am by Raba D'Cruz)
