Ingwe Floors Sofapaka

AFC Leopards continued its winning streak by silencing KPL defending champions Sofapaka 1-0 in an exciting mid week encounter at Nyayo Stadium under floodlights. Leopards winner came in the 65th minute through Congolese import Itubu Imbem who got the better of Sofapaka's goalie through a rivetting hard shot from the right flank. The score was a culimination of various AFC attacks that had terrorised the vulnerable Sofapaka's backline, but with nothing to show as Leopards Demonde Selenga and Wainaina wasted several clear scoring chances that should have killed the game by half time. The second back to back win for Ingwe after beating Thika United by the same margin last weekend is a welcome stress reliever for the team and the many bositerous and result demanding fans. But head coach Chris Makokha still has to work on the strikers' finnese to avoid wasting obvious scoring oportunities. The win has now increased Leopard's tally to 6 points after three matches and elevated it to the 6th position in the standing. Ingwe meets Tusker FC on Wednesday the 17th March in another mid week supersport live broadcast cracker at Nyayo Stadium starting 6PM under floodlights.(posted on 11/3/10 by Ingwe Reporter)
