Leopards Thrash Banks of Ethiopia

Leopards thrashed visiting Banks of Ethiopia 3-1 to exorcise the ghost of an 8 year absence in the continental championship. The thumping was witnessed by over 10,000 Ingwe loyal and boisterous supporters who thronged the terraces of Nyayo Stadium to drum up support for the home team. Ex Vihiga High School 19 year old teenager Martin Imbalabala grabbed a brace to claim heroic status amongst the "over the moon" Ingwe diehards who tipped him as the next big thing in Kenya. Nigerian Import Emekwe Ekene netted in the third goal in the 60th minute to seal the fate of the exhibisionists Banks who seemed to enjoy ball possession without results. Their consolation goal came in the 90 minute due of lack of concentration by the Leopards defence line. Leopards coach Chris Makokha expressed satisfaction with the results and promised to go for more goals during the return match in Addis Ababa in two weeks time."The best way to defend is through attacking and and my boys will be looking for more goals in Addis to kill the game," he said.
