KPL 2010 Fixtures Out

The KPL 2010 fixtures are out and AFC Leopards starts its campaign at home on Saturday 20th February against KCB at Nyayo at 3PM. Ingwe will have to content with a crowded schedule having squared it out with Banks of Ethiopia a week ago on 13th in the first CAf Cup preliminaries at the same venue, preceded by a super cup encounter a week ago on 6th against KPL Champions Sofapaka FC at the same venue. Ingwe will then face off with Sofapaka in quick succession the following week at Nyayo in the second KPL match. The next two weekends of 7th March and 14th match will see Leopards tackle Thika United at Nyayo and Tusker FC at Kasarani to complete the first month of play. AFC coach Nick Yakhama represented the club at the KPL coaches meeting on Thursday where the much awaited fixtures were released. He later on briefed his squad after training at Ikulu grounds and told them to prepare to win more medals in the new season."We won the FKL cup in our first year of come back and target to win two trophies this season," he said to his attentive squad. Meanwhile former AFC international Kayimba "Polisi", Former Gor Cameroonian import Simon and former Sofapaka central defender Tai are among the carefully selected dependables who trained with Ingwe at Ikulu grounds with the view to beefing up the already "looking up" Leopards squad.
