Training Resumes Monday under Nick Yakhama

AFC Leopards under the Interim Management Board headed by Alex Magelo will resume training at Ikulu grounds on Monday 11th January 2010 from 9AM. The team will be under supervision of coach Nick Yakhama and is expected to proceed uninterrupted. The Board announced last week that no player nor coach has been suspended as purported elswhere by those who failed the test of time and became victims of a vote of no confidence from players, coaches, fans, members and wellwishers of this great club.A section of the 20 IMB members are expected to grace the training opening ceremony at Ikulu as the team embarks on a serious session that will prepare it for the super cup challenge against Sofapaka on 6th February and CAF Cup challenge on 13th February against Ethiopia's Banks.The Board secretary Richard Ekhalie called on all genuine supporters of the club who will turn up to watch the training to maintain order and desist from any act of hooliganism. "We have run this club on the platform of peace and tranquility, and would not like to be associated with any negativity," he said.The Board came into effect on 7th January after a nationwide stakeholders consultations that mandated it to run the affairs of the club for six months before passing recommendations on the way forward.Membership is as follows: Alex Magelo, Brown Ondego, Joseph Oyula, George Wesonga, Richard Ekhalie, Duncan Angode, Patrick Keyondzo, Maurice Amahwa, Naphtally Ambetsa, Wellington Maleche, Fred Lutta, Collins Ojiambo, Walter Onyino, Joseph Masika, Victor Mwanga, Vance Udoto, Nassur Hassa, Dr Walela and Rodney Sultani.Board members have undertaken to inject in Kshs 5,000 each per week to cater for the teams weekly training.Other credible supporters of the club interested on joining the board can express at info@afcleopards.net.
