Stakeholders Reject Imposters
AFC Leopards bonafide stakeholders showed a rare unity of purpose on Wednesday when they staged several simultaneously press conferences to rally behind the playing and technical units while rebuking the incompetence of imposters who had plotted acoup to snatch the club from the rightful managers. The protests took place between 12 and 2pm in Mombasa, Nairobi, Mumias, Nakuru and Emuhaya. Agitated bonafide branch members and officials warned the masqueraders to desist from moving near the team lest they risk the wrath of genuine members and fans."They must keep off from the team with immediate effect because the players and coaches have rejected them" said Patrick Keyondzo, the chairman of Kawangware branch. Maurice Amahwa, the chairman of Mombasa branch minced no words by cautioning the imposters' masters to stop messing up with the club. "Political perennial losers should be kept away from the club forever" he retorted. A large crowd of fans who had turned up at Railways club for the Nairobi press conference warned two reporters from Nation media group and Mulembe FM to keep off from AFC matters or risk being burned from stadiums. The large revolt was sparked off on Tuesday by players and the coaches who publicly denounced the illegal office for mishandling the office for the 10 days they travelled to Western Kenya. Team Captain Thomas Biketi spoke on behalf of all the 27 players present, telling the imposters to keep off the team or they stop playing. It was unprecendeted for AFC players to be locked in a hotel for three days due to non payment of bills, as confessed by the players who were promised heaven but given hell. But that is over now that an Interim management Board has been constituted to run the club for six months.
