Success Amidst Crisis

Amidst the storm and confusion bedevilling Leopards as a result of the reigning leadership crisis, Kenya's most decorated and supported club managed to pump in 14 goals and cenceded non in five pre season friendly matches in Western Kenya. The first match saw Ingwe dismiss visiting Uganda Express 2-0 at Bukhungu witnessed by a mammoth crowd. Lugari United conceded 5 goals to nothing while Luanda United was hit 2 goals to zero. Mumias Combined socked in five goals to nothing with Bungoma United being the fairest of them all by holding Ingwe 0-0. The star of the tour was Tom Wango who managed four goals. Among the new signings who tested the waters for Ingwe are Isreal formerly of Agro chemicals and Imbalabala from Vihiga High School.Coach Nick Yakhama praised his team for showing characted in very "difficult" circumstances and promised to make the best of his availlable material to produce results both locally and internationally.(posted on 2/1/2010)
