Mumias and CBD Branches Reactivated

The scramble for branch reactivation is on with Mumias and CBD branches signing up to bring the tally of officially registered branches to 9. The Mumias branch has Justine Mutobera as the chairman with Mohammed Hoi taking the secretary slot and Donald Mumbo taking care of the treasury. Michael Meso was elected as interim chairman for the Nairobi CBD branch with Fred Osore Obongita being named as the secretary and Walter Onyino treasurer.The CBD branch has heavy weights like city professionals Victor mwanga and Geoffrey Mulanya. Others are Fred Lutta, Cyprian Shulu, Farida A. Kassim, Abenayo Wasike, Steve Mungo and Sammy Injete. Other branches that are recognized by the national office are Kibera, Kawangware, Mlango Kubwa all in Nairobi, Mombasa, Emuhaya, Kakamega and Nakuru. It requires a minimum of 10 paid up members and Kshs 10,000 registration fee to reactivate or form a branch. The branch reactivation exercise closes on 31st December 2009 until end of season next year.(posted on 3/12)
