AFC Branch Network Expands

Whereas the former's success raised the bar of the now popular Ingwe theme nights, the latter assured Ingwe a place in next year's top flight football. At Kawangware on Saturday nite, it was house full as boisterous replica wearing AFC loyalist danced the night away in the company of non other than the Bullfighter himself. As the guest of honour, Hon Bonny Khalwale was phenomenon leading the Isukuti troupe into belting out delicious hot Luhyia numbers sending the patrons into a frenzy.At exactly midnight, he conducted an impromptu mini fundraiser realizing Kshs 90,000 with his personal contribution of Kshs 30,000. Bonny was at it again the following day at Nyayo Stadium to witness Ingwe collect the crucial one point against Sony Sugar to remain relevant at next years Kenya Premier League. Both functions also provided a perfect opportunity for the chairmen of the two latest club branches to receive their certificates infront of camera. While handing over the certificates, the honorable Khalwale called on all supporters of the club to establish vibrant AFC branches in all the 210 constituencies to solidify the clubs grassroot support.Chairmen Patrick and Hussein babu received the certificates on behalf of Kawangware and Mlango Kubwa branches respectively. AFC Leopards now has five registered and paid up branches countrywide.The club Secretary general Richard Ekhalie said that he is targeting atleast twenty branches to have reactivated by the end of the year.Next in Line is the CBD branch championed by Fred Lutta and Mike Meso.(report on 9th Nov)
