Ingwe's Match switched to Sunday
Ingwe's home match season ender is at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday the 8th of November 2009 after all. It will be the culmination of a spirited effort by Kenya's most succesful and supported club to claim stake in the extremely competitive Kenya Premier League after a three year hiatus in the cold, before closing the chapter at Muhoroni on 21st November against relegation candidate Agro chemicals. The encounter will be the highlight of the day in yet another double header live broadcast with perenial arch-rivals turned coalition partner Gor Mahia facing off at 1PM and Ingwe locking horns with Sony Sugar at 3PM. But perhaps the biggest thing the match will be remembered for is the fact that it will determine whether AFC will need to cork the champgne bottle to kiss relegation woes goodbye or will hold on for another two weeks to kill it off at Muhoroni. And again it may not be necessary if Sher Karuri and Sofapaka do the dirty work for Ingwe on Saturday against comrades in arms Bandari and Red Berets respectively. Needless to say that the match will be a cracker with both teams working hard to improve their final rankings in the KPL standing. If things work out favorably for Ingwe on Saturday, then the match will be more of a celebration for the huge and passionate AFC fraternity expected to take Isikuti celebrations to the next level. In anticipation of good tidings on Saturday without kicking a ball, Ingwe loyalists are partying at Bora Bora club in Kawangware on Saturday night in the first of the many Ingwe Nites planned for the pre-season session. What of if they decided to dance all the way to State house on Sunday, just for kicks?
