12-3-64:
The East African Standard Newspaper published a report on the birth of a club called ABALUHYA UNITED F.C. which resulted from the amalgamation of Marama, Samia United and Bunyore- all Nairobi-based clubs that were in Division 1 of the Kenya Nation Football League. The amalgamation process also included lower division clubs such as Kisa, Tiriki, Bukusu Brotherhood, Busamia, Lurambi, Butsotso, Bushibungo and Eshirotsa. Thus, the formation of ABALUHYA UNITED F.C. materialised after Jafred Ambani had initiated the move that culminated in a series of meetings at the residences of Mr. Israel Mutoka and Mr. Kirima Sesei in Shauri Moyo Estate, Nairobi. But the person who was made the first Chairman of the-Club was Mr. Edward Kidoyo.
19-4-64:
Abaluhya won the Asian Cup after beating Muslim 3—2. This was the first trophy to be won by the club.
13-9-64:
The executive council reshuffled office-bearers and elected the following:-
15-10-64:
Abaluhya beat Luo Union F.C. 2—1 and lifted the Saba Saba Cup which was introduced to mark Tanga¬nyika’s Independence Day.
3-11-64:
Abaluhya beat the visiting Third Battalion Parachute Regiment from England 2—1 in their first inter¬national match ever. The scorers were Elishah Shabasinya and Joe Kadenge.
April 1966:
Abaluhya players overthrew the chairman, Mr. Joseph Akoya, together with his executive committee in a very peaceful coup under the leadership of Mr. Joe Kadenge. The players conducted the affairs of the club for one month.
5-5-66:
At the AGM held at Kaloleni, a powerful executive committee under the Chairmanship of the dynamic Christopher Omufira was elected into office. Other officials were:
