Humphrey Khayange Addresses IFB

khayangeIngwe Fans Baraza (IFB) held its maiden session at Nyayo Stadium on Saturday 17th October 2009. The forum's biggest catch was non other than International Rugby Series finest Humphrey Khayange who addressed the forum urging the fans in attendance to put their money where their mouths are. "We need to start investing in this great club for prosperity and completely remove politics from the club's affairs," he said amidst applause from the attentive fans who had thronged the conference hall at Nyayo Stadium. Among the speakers who dwelt on the importance of fans adding value to the club through program participation were Super members Charles Bukeko (Papa Shirandula) and Victor Mwanga. Former treasurer Dr Walela also told the meeting that the time is now for AFC fans to shun empty politics and rally behind the office to push the club to the next level.The baraza's coordinator Fred Lutta said that the main objective of the forum is to transform fans into members and later on into shareholders. More than 100 loyal fans attended the first forum and fundraised Kshs 3,750, to buy the team lunch during one of the training sessions.The IFB sessions will be taking place after every home match at Nyayo Stadium.(report on 19th October 2009)
