SMP Picking Tempo

Halfway into the month of October and ten members have paid up their monthly subscriptions of Kshs 1,000 or more with three repeat subscriptions in Fred Lutta, Walter Onyino and Fred Barasa. The seven new subscribers are Josphat Murila, Joseph Simwa, Oscar Omukanjiri(all the way from USA), Kerri Adeka (Kshs 1,500), Bazett Buyuka, Musamia Wafula and Peter Ambanje. A total of 12 members joined the elite Subscription Membership Program (SMP) during the inaugural month of September contributing a total of Kshs 14,000 to the club's kitty. Only two members paid above the minimum thresh hold thus Richard Ekhalie (Kshs 2,000) and Maurice Amahwa (Kshs 2000). Others who made the September cut were Gordon Mweresa, Edwin Sakwa, Charles Bukeko, Duncan Angode, Joseph Masika, Hussein Babu, Michael Meso and Walter Onyino. The SMP is a special program that gives loyal and committed AFC Leopards supporters a chance to contribute to the welfare of the club through systematic monthly subscriptions (contributions) of not less than Kshs 1,000 each. For convenience purposes and in line with the club's policy to embrace ICT, we unveiled the official AFC Leopards Mpesa (safaricom mobile) and Zap (Zain mobile) lines for members to utilize in sending their contributions; thus Mpesa line- 0726 544 155 and Zap line- 0733 817 735. For those who may not utilize either of the two, we unveiled the club's bank account where one could deposit or send an electronic transfer of his/her monthly contributions; thus AFC Leopards Sports Club, Cooperative Bank of Kenya, Moi Avenue Acc.No. 01134120269800. For transparency and accountability, we will publish the names of all the subscribing members not later than the 10th of every month plus the total contributions on the official club website http://www.afcleopards.net/ and maintain a registry of the same in the club office at Hurlingham, APA Arcade Building, 2nd fl. dr. 13. Benefits to subscription members will include a free season ticket and a 10% discount on club merchandise. The subscribing members will also enjoy loyalty shares equivalent to their total subscriptions when the club adapts a corporate structure pending ratification by the annual general meeting of the next season. We target to register at least 1,000 members for this program to realize not less than Kshs 1 million per month if everyone cooperates. That will go a long way in helping the club meet its monthly budgetary requirements in excess of Kshs 1 million. Who is next? Report on 15th October 2009.

Regards,

Richard Ekhalie,

Secretary General,
