Ingwe Maul Limuru Olympic 8 Goals to Nothing

Wounded Ingwe lads mauled visiting Nationwide side Limuru Olympic eight goals to nothing in a one sided friendly match at Ikulu grounds on Wednesday 28th July 2009. In what appeared to be a deliberate change of tact, NIck Yakhama made various changes in the style and fielding of players that payed off instantly. "We tried new tactics today and am glad they worked" the confident Yakhama said after the match. A mong the scorers were capatin Charles Okwemba, Congolese Imbem and Laurent and Denis Ngaira. Being the biggest winning match this season, Ingwe players said that they now have restored self believe they needed to face arch rival Gor Mahia in the much anticipated 8th August encounter at Nyayo. "We needed such a win and I assure our fans that we will prevail on 8th", said Okwemba. The team plans one more friendly next week before the next premier league match.(report on 29th July).
