Captain Okwemba is Back
AFC Leopards dependable and long serving captain Charles Okwemba is back after a six months' costly abscence. He left in January 2009 for Oman to do duty on free loan passing the mantle to his soulmate Francis Xavier. But his adbsence could immediately be felt when AFC started loosing easy games with most of the blunders emanating from the midfiled all the way to the defence. His coming back has been received well by both team mates and fans who are now confident of a stable midfield and solid leardership in the pitch. He reported for training today and he is up beat to deliver. " Lets see how it goes but I am confident God will guide us to success in the remaining matches" he said in his usuall religious demeanor. He is credited for guiding the team to success during last year's nationwide campaign after registering a 100% winning record as captain for six months. He is cool on the pitch and has vast experience to distabilise several teams in the premier league.
