AFC LEOPARDS’ 45TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

AFC Leopards Sports Club turns 45 years this year and to mark the occasion is a major fundraising cum anniversary celebration party planned for Friday the 5
th of June from 6PM at Nairobi Railways Club. Dubbed Ingwe Night Fundraiser cum 45
th Anniversary Celebrations', the occasion seeks to bring together all AFC Leopards fans, members and well-wishers and aims to celebrate the clubs impressive track record since inception and contribute to a special kitty to fund a player signing/recruitment exercise earmarked for the forthcoming June transfer window. To illustrate the nostalgic and sentimental attachment of the club to its rich history, a strong fundraising/anniversary celebration organizing committee composed of AFC legends, celebrities, members, fans and well wishers has been formed to spearhead the campaign. The committee targets to raise at least Kshs 3 million to help meet the primary objective of signing more experienced players with the surplus funding operations. Among the invited guests are western legislators, the business community, the professionals, the sports community and members of the public. Gaining access to the venue will cost Kshs 500 per head with various activities lined up including live entertainment by Phonetics Band of Mukangala fame, Papa Shirandula live, Western entertainers united for AFC, Isikuti troupes and traditional African cuisines. Also lined up as a build-up activation is an exhibition match on Madaraka Day at Nyayo Stadium featuring former AFC players vs. Papa Shirandula Select curtain-raising for the main Cup match between the current AFC Leopards vs. Posta Rangers. The Papa Shirandula Select will feature Western celebrities & former players from all other clubs.
