INGWE NIGHT FUNDRAISER "Celebrating AFC Leopards 45th anniversary"

WHAT: An entertaining fundraiser to raise money to fund the recruitment of experienced players. Also doubles as the 45^th anniversary celebration for this great club we all love.

WHY: The club badly needs capital to sign additional more experienced players (minimum 7) to blend with the youthful side. The transfer window opens during the month of June giving us the only window of opportunity to revitalize the playing unit capable of changing the club's fortunes on the field.

WHEN: On Friday 5^th June 2009 from 6PM till dawn.

WHERE: At Nairobi Railways Club.

HOW: Invited guests, Ingwe members/fans/well-wishers pay Kshs 500 at the gate to gain access to the action parked fete. They will be entertained by various activities including but not limited to live music by Phonetics band of Mukangala fame, western artists united for Leopards showcasing comedy, dance and music, Papa Shirandula live and Eshienyu ne Shienyu Isukuti troupe among others. Various Luhyia cuisines will be served including Obusuma nende Ingokho, mrenda, tsisaka, likhubi etc. There will also be photo opportunities and autograph signing by legendary former AFC Players like Murila, Masiga, Abbas, Kadenge, Patrick Shilasi, Tony Lidonde etc. And then drinks will flow as we all raise money to sharpen Ingwe's claws and dispatch it on the prowl. We target to raise Kshs 3 million with Kshs 1.5 million catering for the signing fees/transfer logistics and the surplus financing operations for the second leg starting July till November.

ORGANISING COMMITTEE: An organizing committee has been formed to organize the event under the chairmanship of Charles Bukeko (Papa Shirandula) assisted by Victor Mwanga. All that wishes well for AFC Leopards and want to be part of the solution are invited to join the committee that meets every Friday at Enzogu from 5PM and Wednesdays at Nairobi Railways Club from 6PM.
