AFC defence blunders cost it three points again

AFC Leopards failed to utilize the much cherished home advantage over the weekend when they went down two goals against Tusker FC's three goals in a match that the youthful Ingwe side should blame itself for the loss. The homeside team failed to prevail at the end of the match despite going up two goals to one before halftime. Ingwe lads were the better side during the first half when the combined striking force of Harambee Stars trialist Sebastian Muchera, Dennis Mukaisi and Zimbabwen Tafadzwa Dondo produced two goals in ten minutes before half time. The two goals were netted by Muchera and veteran Xavier through a penalty kick after Dondo was brought down by an overwhelmed Tusker backline. But they were the blunders of AFC defence that cost Ingwe the win after both the central defender and right wing back fumbled repeatedly to allow hungry Tusker strikers to find the back of the net. Leopards head Coach Manoah's second half substitutes failed to produce any results as a feeble Farid Ahmed squandered three obvious chances that could have assured Ingwe a win. AFC meets Ulinzi FC at Coca Cola on Saturday 9th at 3PM.
