AFC Gets a New Team Manager
Tony Lidonde, a former AFC striker and Kenya's fierce international of yore has joined Leopard's technical bench as Team Manager. While announcing his appointment at AFC's training grounds at Ikulu on Tuesday 17th March, AFC Chairman Alex Magelo pleaded for co-oporation from the playing unit terming Tony as one of "our own". On his part, the former player popularly known as "Mkombozi" for his predatory instinct at the goal mouth, emphasized on discpline on the part of the players as a precursor to achieving good results. "You must also promote team work while putting in your all to prevail at the premier league", he added. The chairman said that Tony's coming on board will reduce preassure and workload on coach Manoa who has been multi-tasking at the technical bench since the departure of Gilbert Selebwa as Head Coach a couple of weeks ago. Also brought on board is another former AFC and international goal keeper Ottamax who is training the goalkeepers. AFC clashes with Agro Chemical this Saturday the 21st of March at 1 PM at Coca cola (Nyayo Stadium) in a DSTV live broadcast encounter.
